Why subscribe?

A Country Of Our Own is a politics blog based in Scotland, which will cover political issues in the UK and elsewhere. Our politics is leftist and we make no apology for that whatsoever.

This blog will be available for free for as long as it exists. People who want to support the site can do so in the usual way, when you subscribe. But none of our content is going to be locked behind a paywall now or ever.
